Beasts of the Southern Wild - трудно даже описать про что фильм. Сюжет, с одной стороны, довольно прост - умирающие территории в затопленной дельте Миссисиппи. А с другой - становление человека, превращение ребенка в личность, несмотря на свои 7-9 лет возраста. В этом году оказался единственным фильмом, номинированным на Оскара, который мне удалось посмотреть до церемонии - уж больно все стали хитрые и выпуск фильма "подгадывают" под самую церемонию, чтобы впечатление посвежее было.

Color Me Kubrick - Джон Малкович притворяется Стэнли Кубриком, снимая пенки, как головная машина Остапа во время пробега "по бездорожью и разгильдяйству".

The Executioner's Song - молодой Томми Ли Джонс играет какого-то уж очень нервного субъекта, странно себя ведущего после отсидки половины своей жизни за решеткой, прицепившегося к молоденькой женщине с двумя детьми, но так и не сошедшего с пути, предначертанном ему свыше - смертной казни. Даже не знаю, чтобы понять получше может прочесть роман Нормана Мейлера, по которому фильм сделан, или лучше, все же, не читать?

Game Change - грязная политика, выборы, подбор "нужного" кандидата для выигрыша, а не для того, чтобы было хорошо, и пр. и пр. - президентские выборы в США 2008 год в исполнении Джулиен Мур, Эда Харриса и Вуди Харельсона.

God Bless America - странно, что жанр фильма означен "кинокомедия", поскольку количество трупов и крови на экране сравнимо с Рэмбо. Попытка полудетского варианта Бонни и Клайда расправиться с нехорошими сторонами прекрасной некогда Америки, естественно, оканчивается неудачно. Даже АК-47 не помогает.

Just Another Love Story - датский фильм, как уже неоднократно говорил, скандинавские фильмы (исключая финские) оказались на удивление неплохими. Даже со стандартным, знакомым сюжетом их фильмы получаются очень смотрибельными. Вот и упомянутый - странная история привязанности человека, косвенно виновного в автокатастрофе, к жертве этой катастрофы. Оканчивается фильм полунеожиданно и грустно.

The Hunter - Виллем Дэфо поначалу подряжается на поиски вымирающего тасманийского зверя, но, узнав побольше про тайные помыслы фирмы, его нанявшей, поворачивает все не туда, куда оно должно было бы пойти.

World's Greatest Dad - Робин Вильямс в роли отца-неудачника, учителя-неудачника, писателя-неудачника, любовника-неудачника, вечный поц, который не справляется ни с чем и ни с кем, пока неожиданно в эо всем ему не начинает помогать сын, случайно самозадушившийся на своем шарфе в момент мастурбации.

Patriots - Ravens. 13:28. Окончание сезона для Патриотов.
