timaВчера пропустил в виду занятий спортом. Сейчас в перерывах работы сижу, смотрю, слушаю.
We may have differences in policy, but we all believe in the rights enshrined in our Constitution.
We may have different opinions, but we believe in the same promise that says this is a place where you can make it if you try.
We may have different backgrounds, but we believe in the same dream that says this is a country where anything is possible.
No matter who you are. No matter where you come from.
That dream is why I can stand here before you tonight.
That dream is why a working-class kid from Scranton can sit behind me.
That dream is why someone who began by sweeping the floors of his father's Cincinnati bar can preside as Speaker of the House in the greatest nation on Earth.
первое, что могу сказать, что у него совершенно классные спичрайтеры - все по теории, все на местах, все структурировано "как надо". И второе - говорит он, конечно, прекрасно. В любом случае я рад, что в Президентах у нас сейчас он, а не воинствующий плохо успевавший в школе и в военной академии старичок из Аризоны. Но это вовсе не значит, что я Обаму безвопросно люблю и все его мысли и начинания поддерживаю безоговорочно. Но одно знаю точно - со старичком бы мы (и все вы) были б сейчас в глубокой и беспросветной ж.

Given the vapid quality of the speech, I think the same defense offered for Joe Biden — “at worst, Biden purloined piffle” — applies to this case, too.
