никогда не мог понять переводчиков для Учпедгиза, Росполитиздата (почти пиздато, сорри!), а также Госкина.

Ну про кучу фильмов уже обсасывали, но почему они перевели Pulp Fiction - Криминальным чтивом? Они что - не знают (знали) откуда взялось название этой книги? Почему было так переводить на русский то, что вполне четко имело свой смысл и историю названия?
