Про двойное гражданство

Я видимо совсем плох стал, если меня и вправду большинство понять не может.

Речь вовсе не о двух или более гражданствах, как таковых, хотя и это по большому счету мне не нравится. И я вовсе не пытаюсь сейчас "спастись", потому что у меня mkay422, m_p, innaplanetyanka и еще куча друзей с двумя или более гражданствами.

Речь о том как используется наличие двойного гражданства определенного сорта людьми. Не хочу более вдаваться, потому что ничего хорошего из попытки определения "определенного сорта людей" у меня не выйдет. Появятся только новые недовольные.

Все.

Я против двойного гражданства. Что хотите, то и думайте.

I am for dual citizenship but only in cases when both countries cannot be seen as opposing interests. For instance, Russia and USA are defintely on the opposite side of values and politics - hence dual citizenship in this case would be a conflict of loyalties. I could argue the same thing about France and USA right now.

However, I am for having dual citizenships when it comes to US and Israel. First of all, there is no conflict of interest as Israel is a very loyal ally of the US. Second of all, it is the spiritual homeland of every Jew. Btw, likewise I would not oppose someone having both the British and the US ciizenship because both countries share similar values.

You against it -- give up the other citizenship, if you have that other one.
But, please, keep your opinion for yourself. Why do you think you have right to judge other people?
I, for instance, consider it questionable on moral grounds and plain stupid to be a patriotic citizen of any country, yet I do care about USA, Russia, Israel, Holland, New Zealand, Ukraine, Germany, France, United Kingdom, ... .

I have the only citizenship.

I live in the free country and if I want to I can openly present my opinion.

I do care about few countries too, but that doesn't contradict with my idea and my position about a citizenship of the only country. "Care" and "citizenship" - are two quite different things.

You are against patriotic citizens of a country - that's too bad. Pity for your country, because you call a single citizenship "stupid". I don't want to have citizens like you in my country. Citizens call their citizenship "stupid"...
